Tiny Mermaids in Sardine cans......

It is difficult to see these because the pictures were taken with a smaller, less sophisticated
camera than that of my husband's so they are not really clear. I have already sent
these mermaids in to the Magazine so it will be a while before I can take better pictures. I got the idea to make these when my son brought me a small stuffed mermaid while on his trip to Hawaii. I put it in a sardine can and hung it on the wall. It is very cute but I thought I would make my own rendition of them. These did not take long. I like the use of embossing powder on the tails. It makes them look more shiny and fish like.

Fairy Tree for Charity Auction

I made this for Charity for Auction. It will be donated to the CJC (Children's Justice Center) next October to be Auctioned. I made it from an old shelf that I bought at a yard sale for $1.00. Then I made all the funny little fairy rooms and added a front that looks like a tree. It was fun but a lot of work. The camera was having issues and so was the lighting. Hope that you can see some detail. I will give more info in 11 months when it is donated. I am hoping to get more pictures of the other fun Doll Houses that will be donated there.

Five New Fairy ATCs

The background is hand painted nice water color paper. When I get some nice colors to work with, then I cut them into 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch pieces to make my ATCs. I use a special tool to round the corners and add a nice matching ink to the edges. The art work is my own original fairies. These are then embellished with jewels, tiny flowers, glitter, sequins, beads, brads etc. I sign and date them. The other side gives all the specifics about each piece.
